About the JSG Career Center

The Jackson School of Geosciences (JSG) has strong ties to industry due to its large size, excellent faculty, and prestigious alumni. Students further benefit from opportunities for employment, research assistantships, and academic credit working with scientists at the Bureau of Economic Geology and the Institute for Geophysics.

The JSG Career Center serves students, alumni, and employers by hosting bi-annual on-campus recruiting in the Jackson Geosciences Building, holding workshops for students to assist them with creating their resume, writing cover letters, interviewing, and preparing for our annual career fair. One-on-one assistance is also available. This year, we are hosting our first career fair on September 9, where companies showcase their career opportunities and meet our students before our Fall 2008 on-campus recruiting begins.
