Tenure Track Faculty Position in structural geology and tectonics

Department of Geological Sciences/Jackson School of Geosciences/University of Texas at Austin.  We seek outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in structural geology and tectonics with an emphasis in the geochronological analysis of orogenic systems starting Fall, 2009.  Hiring at a higher level will be considered in exceptional cases. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous program of independent research that complements our growing research and education program in Crust, Mantle, Core Dynamics, supervise MS and PhD students, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and interface with one or more existing programs in structure/tectonics and/or geochemistry/geophysics/sedimentology in the Jackson School of Geosciences. http://www.jsg.utexas.edu
