Bayani CardenasWilliam T. Stokes Centennial Teaching Fellow Teaching Philosophy"What I hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. What I do, I learn". I follow this quote in my teaching and emphasize experiential learning. What does this mean for students? Lots of hands-on work, ie, homeworks and exercises. I actually see this as lots of fun learning, and my goal is to convince students that this is the case. I emphasize fundamental principles in my lectures and try to develop students' analytical and problem-solving skills. Conceptual and quantitative understanding are given equal weight. I enjoy interacting with students and have an open-door policy. If you find me in my office, you are welcome to have some coffee and ask anything relating to class or research.
