DR. HELPER

 

Dr. Helper teaches a broad range of undergraduate courses each year, from Gems and Gem Minerals, an upper-division science course for non-geology majors, to the senior geology elective, GIS & GPS Applications in Earth Sciences.  The main focus of his other teaching is field geology.  Mark team-teaches with other faculty the classes Introduction to Field and Stratigraphic Techniques and Field Geology, a six-week course taught each summer in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah.
