Cathodoluminescence images made using a CL device attached to a scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Most of these images were taken using a monochromator which allows successive images to be combined to form a color image of the luminescence. Technical details are available.

Note: since I've graduated, this site exists at the whim of the geology computing staff. Hopefully, it will be around for a while, but don't count on it.
