      Professor, University of Texas at Austin, Dept. of Geological Sciences (9/2000 to present).  Full-time (with tenure) teaching
      and research appointment, holding the Jackson Centennial Teaching Fellowship.  9/94-9/2000 Associate Professor; 1/89
      9/94 Assistant Professor.

      Research Collaborator, University of California, Los Alamos National Laboratory (1990-1996).  Research on mineral surface
      chemistry with CST division.

      Analytical Chemist, C&S Environmental Labs, Inc., Liverpool NY (1984-1986). Environmental analyses of soil and water.

      Firefighter/Medic:  (1978-2001).  Highest rank was District Chief, Travis Co ESD#4.
