Fields of Study:

      Structural geology of the upper continental crust, tectonics, regional seismicity, fluid flow in fractured rock, field geology.

Education:

     Ph.D. (1990) Cornell University, Ithaca NY; Structural Geology, minors in Geophysics and Solid Mechanics

     B.S. (1984) University of California at Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz CA; Earth Sciences


 

Professional Experience:

      Associate Professor, University of Texas at Austin, Dept. of Geological Sciences (9/2000 to present).  Full-time (with tenure)
      teaching and research appointment, holding the Elf Aquitaine Petroleum Faculty Fellowship. 9/1994-9/2000 Assistant Professor.

      Research Scientist, Amoco Production Company, Tulsa OK (12/1990-8/1994).  Research on structural and regional geology.

      Profesor Visitante, Universidad Nacional de Salta, Salta Argentina (1988). Part-time teaching (in Spanish).
